Toyota Auris 2007 1.6 Petrol Manual

I am facing problem for my Toyota Auris 2007 Petrol Manual..the rear fog light not working..what I have checked already is.

1   checked blub is ik 

2 checked fuse is ok under streening wheel fuse box..its 10 A fuse.

3 front both fog light working

4 remove conector from the light and re connect..

 

any suggestion what next I have to check ?

Presumably you are checking the rear foglight when the position (side) and head lights are on ........

Yes I tried to side switch on along with Head lights are ON..there is small rotery switch on same switch for Headlight..the front fog lights ON and off perfectly but the rear one does not show any light..although I open the right tail light and take off the blub..that are fine..in the same tail light , break light , indicator light and parking light working fine..practically I dont use that much but I need to fix the function in the car

Do you have a tow bar fitted?

yes it is fitted

The tow bar socket has a cancellation switch for the rear fog light designed to disable the fog when a trailer is being towed, with age the switch in the socket fails usually disabling the rear fog. Check and clean the switch or replace the trailer socket to fix

Hi I checked the tow bar ..its only power conection .there is no switch beside this connector. only one cable comming from back and connected directly to this connector..

the switch should be part of the connector itself  (usually between pins 1 & 2 iirc) so would be in your 2nd photo (except that is very blurry)

I took again picture from the front of connector ..unfortunately can not see any switch that enable the rear fog light

also can not see pin number on front. question do I need to put some jumper wire between two pins ?
