Toyota Carina 2 heater motor resistor

Hi all i havejust joined your owners club i have a 1988 toyota carina 2 saloon and just want to ask a question the heater blower is not working i took out the motor and the motor is ok if the heater motor resistor is blown does it knock the heater totally . Also would anyone out there know where i could locate a boot spoiler and front bumper lip /splitter ..Hoping to hear from you out there soon .Thanking you yours sincerely John

Not sure on your particular car, but on various other cars I've encountered over the years the fan still works at max speed setting when the resistor is faulty.
