Newbie here. Just bought 2006 Avensis VVTI. T25(I think) Interior lights not working and clock resetting. Had a read through the forum and it seems need to change the Dome fuse. Checked behind the glove box and all 7.5a fuses seem fine. Also checked 7.5a in engine bay. When I removed the panel on the drivers side (RHD) There is a fuse diagram on the back of it but no fusebox to be seen.

Have a look behind the glove compartment.

Found the fuse box behind the glovebox but all the fuses seem fine. Is there not meant to be a second box on the drivers side

Dome fuse is located in a fusebox above the pedals.

Thanks ents. Finally found it. Will check fuses later. Fingers crossed.

Hello

Don't want to start new topic, could you help me to find headlamp fuse, please?

(I have strange problem, during connection of subwoofer there was spark and speaker stop working. There is one big fuse on main cable, but it's OK.

After couple days I realize they headlamps don't work. Maybe this subwoofer causing problem but I'm not sure...

So I would like to start from headlamps fuse.)

Regards

Not sure which fuse is for the headlamp. There are 2 fuseboxes in the cabin. One behind the glovebox and one above the pedals on the driver side. Remove 2 screws on the panel above the pedals to access the fuse box. Remove the black cover from the fuse box to access the fuses.

It's not good news, because I have checked all of them, but headlamps still not working.

Any other ideas?

Only other thing I can think of is a relay or control switch. Might be best to bring it to an auto electrician.

Can you be more specific, does you car have automatic headlights?

If yes, check all 7.5 and 10 A fuses inside cabin. There are a lot them in auto headlight system

One fuse to go, 40A MAIN fuse inside the biggest fusebox in the engine compartment. If that is ok, you must see a specialist!

Hi Colin, I don't think you may realise the potential major problem you may have with your car, Henri, above this post I feel can see what might be going on.

Let me put this into context another way, I would imagine the property you live in, regardless if you own it or not has a very good chance the entire house is guarded by a 60A fuse just before your house fuse box/consumer unit. I have only ever known one of these to 'blow' and that was when an electrician drilled through the live cable, the red one, before the meter and it literally blew the meter off the wall and the electrician was badly burned.

What I am saying is there is a risk of you finding and replacing say the 40A fuse and the end result could be you watching your car go up in flames. I urge you, for your own sake do as Henri suggested and seek professional help, an auto electrician, a Toyota main dealer or similar.

Good luck and let us all know how you get on. Mike.

Hi Mike, Thanks for the reply. The issue is not with my car but with hpy above. My car was the dome fuse. I' sure he'll see your post. Thanks for the advice.
