Rav4 flat spot

Hi I have had two Rav4 now 2004 ,2008 both have  had a flat spot when setting off ,first gear at a junction set off there is a dead spot ,a jump flat spot 

been told this is various sensors and replaced , oxygen sensor made it better but comes back over time ,

told this is a common problem on the Rav4 and there is nothing you can do about it .

Don't believe this must be someone out there who has solved this by engine mapping ? or a work round

any advice would be helpful
