Brake caliper

I’ll be changing the front brake pads on my Auris later in the week. Just wondering if anyone knows is the caliper piston pushes back or turns? If it needs turning back I’ll need to invest in a new tool.

Car details are: 2012 Auris T Spirit 1.8 VVT-i Hybrid.

Not special tool needed. You can use anything to push the piston back. The rear brakes need special tool, if the parking brake uses the pads/disc. The rears need the wind-back tool and the kit need to have reverse for the left wheel.
