Hi

For years been getting 28 or 29 mpg using Sainsbury’s, Asda and a few other. Nothing much changed. Filled up the other day with Texaco and getting 34 mpg.

Could this be a one off ?

anyone else found this?

I think the big super markets may have a waste pipe from the local spoons pub bogs pumping it in to their tanks and selling it on as unleaded 😁 every little helps 😁

I have heard this from a few people now about the super markets petrol.

I'm sorry I don't know about the first two brands Notebook mentioned but I do know Texaco and Shell. Here, in Portugal, the main ones would be BP, GALP and REPSOL but there were a ton of new "Low priced" gas stations openning on the last couple years. With the 2.0 D4D from the Avensis T27 I found that the additivated Repsol and one of the low priced ones (Prio) would give a very smooth ride (less engine harsh) and better millage per gallon (as you say :-)). I comment this with my friends and they say I'm nuts. Happy to know that I'm not :-)
