Recently purchase a 54 plate Yaris and the driver's side is making a horrible whistling noise once a speed of 20 to 25mph is reached.   Sound from passenger is hardly noticeable. It is definitely from the mirror, because if pull the mirror in there is no noise.  Spoke to a couple of dealers and they have not heard of the problem.   Found the thread above but it was started over 10 years ago. 

 

I hope someone is able to help as this sound is driving me crazy.
