Japanese satnav

Hello everyone,

My girlfriend recently bought a Toyota passo imported from Japan. I was wondering if the navigation language can be changed in English. Or any options to change the firmware. It's a 2013 passo. 

The satnav is marked with nhxt-w56d.

Usually Japanese domestic market head units don't have the option of changing the language to English.  If in Europe, often the only course of action is to replace the head unit for a European one.

The Toyota Passo is a re-badged Daihatsu Boon (known as Sirion in some European markets). Also built in Malaysia by Perodua - Perodue Myvi/Alza.

I knew that, was just hoping on something like a customized rom/firmware. Say like a rooted iPhone. Somewhere available. Wishful thinking I guess. Thanks!

I swapped mine out with a locally made satnav radio system, done on request by the dealer
