Central locking- flashing lights

Hi 

Could anyone tell me if the lights should flash when using the key to centrally lock and or unlock a Toyota Avensis (estate Icon)

Both my 09 plate and my 12 plate flashed when using the remote, but I never locked with the key so can't comment there.

edit... there's a setting in Techstream named "hazard answer back" with settings OFF or ON.

there is also a setting in the head unit for it under "car customisation" iirc
