Faulty clutch safety switch?

Has anyone replaced their clutch switch? The car failed to start twice this week. I am told by the family driver that there was no cranking from the engine when it happens. It's required 3 start attempt to start the engine. 

Are these switch reliable in general? And how much for the part?
