Coolant Loss D4D

Wondering if someone could give me a bit of advice regarding my Toyota Corolla Verso 2.2 D4D 2007.

Had a problem with the temp light coming on, loss of coolant when driven over 70mph on motorway drive below 50 mph temp light goes off took it to the local garage and the water pump had packed up got this replaced and fitted no temp light.

The problem I have now is still loss of coolant, engine fan still coming on and passenger side heater is warm / hot and drivers side is cold (bit strange).

Could this be the Thermostat or Head Gasket on its way out.

Blows bit of black smoke no white smoke and no water in oil.

Thank you

how much coolant had you lost? could you possibly have an airlock when refilled?

Just hope it isn't the problem that requires the engine replacement...
