2016 Aygo - number displayed on multi-function display after starting engine

Does anyone know what the number displayed in the middle of the dashboard display just after starting the engine is? It started about 5.1 or 5.2 and has dropped to 4.7 after about 7 months. I cannot find any reference to what this might be in the handbook.

Sounds like the average fuel consumption to me. A photo would definitely help.
