Updating Toyota Touch

I have a Verso 64 plate with Toyota Touch it keeps freezing and needs rebooting to sort this problem. I phones the multimedia helpline and they weren't very helpful, and ended up saying it wasn't upgradeable unless you by the maps too. My system doesn't have a sat nav built-in so I'd be paying over £100 for a package I wouldn't need.

1. Is this true?

2. Would this turn on the sat nav? (Doubtful)

3. Anyone have any suggestions please?

Thanks

John

Not unless you have the 'Go' module, which is the sat nav module which is an add-on to the Touch multimedia unit.

Being a 64 plate, isn't the car and the Toyota Touch still under the new car warranty?

1. First be absolutely sure that you have Touch 2 & not the original Touch.

2. phone or visit your dealer & point them to the TSB & let them take care of it - your car is under warranty.
