A variation of a fairly common marketing exercise.

My opinion is only go for it if it's beats brokers prices - drivethedeal/carwow etc.

CarWow knocked £1500 off a new £13,500 Aygo..Might be worth a look..

I don't wrong thread 🙂

🙂

I did though look into getting the Yaris hybrid icon through drivethedeal for 15900, Toyota dealer prices were 17100. But it cost £130 road tax and no free congestion zone, so I bought a 2 years old one instead.

My local Toyota dealer is doing a 'you've been invited' event with 'never seen before prices' this weekend. I got the leaflet in the post last week.

yeah I've got a similar deal but I've just spent a lot at the dentist so I'm not ready to swap with a deposit. I've only had Rosie a year anyway.

I get a version of this every few months from one of 3 of my closest dealerships.  Probably better prices than if you walked in off the street most days but not anywhere near as good as you can get from Drive the deal etc.

Usually either:

'Cost price offers'

'Below cost price offers'

'Special sale at never before seen prices' etc etc.

I went back a few weeks after one of these events which I'd been to (and got a price at) and got them to match the online price I'd found which was a lot less than their previous 'cost price' price.

As I said, decent prices I'm sure and from a dealership rather than a random broker (I wouldn't use most of the online firms as I have too little knowledge of them and too much caution) but I believe if they really want to sell a car they can do at least these prices at any time!

Maybe Toyota need to launch a version of the Aygo to compete with the UP Gti, or the Audi A1..? Instead of face lifts..

As range toppers, they',re hardly likely to increase sales across the range.
