Checking the current Sat Nav version

Hi,

How do we check the current version installed on the car?

I've discovered that me brand new car, was actually built some time ago, so want to see if its got the latest software.

On the head unit press:

Setup

General

Scroll down and select Software information.

Latest version is 6.11.0 W# 2018v1

And they release every 6 months, so expect the next update in October.

Except when I had my Gen 3 Prius the half yearly updates only appeared once every 18-24 months!  After the second update I actually stopped bothering.  Indeed, the first update I applied to my 2012 model took the PostCode search down from 7 characters to five (!) but this was corrected in the next update.

I have to say the latest update on my Gen 4 is better than previous versions, and the speed limits are accurate much more often than in the past (though still nowhere near 100% - which is of course hard to achieve anyway with very frequent updates).
