55 plate calipers disks and pads

Front brakes on 55 plate. All changed. How much should it cost?

Assuming the job is done by an indie using good quality parts and  sliding pins are OK

Pair Callipers - £100 - 140 depending on brand

Pair discs - £45 - Girling

Set Pads - £24 - Girling

1.5 hrs labour say £80

Total £250 - 290 inc VAT

Not sure what the pins are, but I take it that would add a few quid

Around £15 for new sliding pins + 0.5 hrs labour to remove if the originals are seized. In the vast majority of cases - the old pins just need a quick clean and re-grease.

Calipers too? Normally the sliding pins have dried out and started to stick giving the impression of a bad caliper.

The brakes were binding and ere greased a few times and the disks were on mot list for a few years.
