How do I improve Yaris Hybrid Excel dipped headlight

Its that time of year that i don't particularly like, it's not the rain, snow or ice, it's the inky black dark nights.

My previous car, a Honda Insight Hybrid had terrible dipped beam, Osram Nightbreakers improved it a bit but they have appalling service life, blow after about 8 months.

Has anyone got any suggestions to improve the Yaris dipped beam legally ? ,ie without fitting aftermarket HID's

Obviously depends on usage but I've had previous Osram (corrected from Oxfam) Nightbreakers last two years of more. Got them in our I20 in both the headlights and steering headlights - fitted in 2016.

Presume you have the HIR2 bulbs. Could look at either of these:

I'd go for the Toyota Optiwhite bulbs mentioned above. Massive improvement over the standard bulbs fitted on the Yaris.

Plus one from me.

Bought ours last November.  £48.77 the pair.

Had Optiwhites fitted to my Auris this afternoon due to poor Dipped headlights  . They £49.75 for the pair  , it did include fitting plus had a wash and vac 😀. Will let you know what they are like after a night drive
