Changing water pump --- pulleys as well ?

Hello everyone,

I'm going to change the water pump and auxillary v-belt on my Gen 2. Should I change the water pump pulley? And/or the tensioner idler pulley as well? I'm thinking it would be a good idea, but is it necessary? Thanks, Mark.

It's good practise to change idlers, tensioners etc. if the water pump is driven by the cam belt, so it's not necessary on the Prius, as it isn't. I would only change them if they have excessive play or are noisy.
