X-Nav blinking

Hi, recently got a Toyota Aygo late 2014. When buying it, I requested Toyota to install the X-nav and paid the extra. Sometimes when driving the screen will turn off for a few seconds, leaving me without nav, music, etc. Sometimes it doesn't turn off but "blinks/flickers". Sometime the music from the bluetooth stops out of the blue, needing to tap on play again. Not sure if the Toyota dealer I got it from screwed up installing this or if these are common bugs the x-nav/touchscreen has?

Thanks

Doesn't sound right. Presumably the X-nav module was a new accessory purchase, and as such should be covered by a one year warranty rather than the five year new car warranty, so take it back to the dealer who installed it.

I'll add that I have been unable to reproduce any music whatsoever via USB (nothing comes up when I plug in an USB stick with music in it) and when using the jag it recognized it was plugged but music wouldn't play over the Speakers. I'm not sure if there's something in particular one needs to do to get that working.

Can you get us the software version installed in the head unit? as a 2014 Aygo was an early model and the headunit had to be updated to accept x-nav when launched back in 2014.

Press lower knob to access menu

Press setup > general > software update > update.

What version is under the Audio heading?

Under Audio it reads 0810 and under OS it says  0621

The head unit is not on the earliest software 0705 but the latest version is 0840, fixes over 0810 include:

With X-Touch software version 0830 and solved in version 0840 (RC4)

 The message “Loading messagelist. Please wait…” remains displayed after replying using Quick Message. (Only with Android 4.4 equipped mobile phones)

 DAB sound quality deteriorates during high frequency sound playback. (unsupported CODEC)

 The Toyota product number disappears occasionally.

 MirrorLink low interrupt audio level.

 MirrorLink wording changes

 PS data or RadioText information not displayed correctly for special local characters. (e.g. Danish character “æ”, etc.)

With X-Touch software version 0820 and solved in version 0830 (RC3)

 Display restarts after tuning-in to DAB specific service.

 Toyota product number may not be displayed correctly.

With X-Touch software version 0810 and solved in version 0820 (RC2)

 Pink screen when using Samsung Galaxy S3 in MirrorLink.

 Changes to Toyota Display Audio-unit device information.

Thank you. I take it this has a cost. Is there any way I can know how much? It kinda annoys me that I just bought it and I didn't get it updated when purchasing
