Engine stops when move stick to D or R

Hello Guys,

I've a weird thing happening with my car Toyota tercel 98, the car stops if I move the transmission stick to R or D gears, however if I pressed a little acceleration and get the D or the R, and remove my leg from the acceleration the car doesn't stop, I cleansed the throttle body and the iac, iac has a good indication the RPM of the car is low and the car doesn't stop with high light or power steering.
 
I had a problem with the starter, and the mechanic changed something with the safety switch wiring "if he did something wrong, could the be the cause of the problem", however the transmission is working fine now.

Is there any other component that could cause the same issue?
