changing from l/100km to mpg on 08 1.5 T4

Hi

I have just bought a 2008 T4 1.5 prius (Irish car) - its consumption display shows in l/100km but is it possible to change that to mpg?

If it's like the Gen 3, it can't be changed. All the trip computer stuff is stuck in the old money with mine, because it's a UK import.

I'd actually prefer l/100km as it focuses on consumption, and is much easier to work out fuel costs. Sure we're buying petrol in litres anyway.

Thanks, how do you find the Prius plug in?

Grand, with the first generation the battery's pretty small so I only get about 16-18km range on a full charge, but that covers my commute. I'm averaging about 3.44 l/100km or 82 MPG.

The new one has over twice the range, but the boot space and lack of 5th seat are too much of a compromise to me. That and the pricing is crazy here.

what year did the new one come in?

Last year. Mine was never sold here (I got it up north).

Are there many plugins about?

There are 8 Gen 1 Plug-ins registered in Ireland, though that's only accounting for those correctly registered as PHEVs (some may be wrong!).

For the current gen Prius PHV, there are 53 here - I suspect mostly demo cars.

So basically, no 🙂
