seen a 1990 mr2, believe its a non turbo uk jobbie,

130,000 miles, says its got service history up to 2002

looks really well looked after outside,

no frills, no kit, mods etc.

how much would say its worth?

i wont say just yet, wanna get unbias opinions,

cheers,

mike

erm... 3K max ??

As long as it's been looked after mate, then the mileage shouldn't be an issue.

Make sure timing belt has been changed etc, regluar services... blah blah.

dont be afraid to say less mate if thats what you think, want brutally honest answers, also may sound like a really uneducated question but say i wanted a replacement engine, what sort of price am i lookin at?

cheers!

for the engine, the best place to check is rogue systems.

I'm not sure about the price of the car mate. Have a look on autotrader for a rough idea.

I personally wouldn't buy a n/a or a car with that many miles. Not that there's anything wrong with a n.a or a car with that many miles. I'm just fussy.

thing is, ive always been much more into the look of cars rather than the speed,

i mean, so long as its not too slow, which for me it wouldnt

if i get it, itll be to make it look sweet from the floor up, changin most standard features

just could do with the engine not droppin out thats all! :)

Right now my 2 has about 118000 miles on it and is running strong.. i don't know what you would think i got mine super cheap because i knew the guy but it is worth more here in the states..but i payed $3500 for it. And the body was mint with minor nicks from rocks on the hood and a torn shift boot..everything else is perfect.

My mister 2 has 142k on the clock with fsh and is still going like a bomb!

and as for looks, its perfect.

I wouldnt be worried about the mileage as long as the car has been looked after.

If it is a uk car, then it will have been used daily.

130000 miles on a 14 year old car is lower than average, so don't be afraid.

Ignore the boys with the low mileage turbos as thats a completely different matter.

I am concerned that it has not been looked after for the last 2 years though. Things could be about to fail inside.

I guess £1800

Wouldn't worry much about mileage as long as engine sound ok and car drives well.

Just sold a REV2 K-REG UK CAR T-BAR for £1800 had done over 150k but drove faultless

Rash.

p.s for a REV1 G plate (non T-bar) with 130k you're tallking around a £1000

these cars prices seem to go up and down like fun, i bought my uk 1992 rev2 sunroof for £4800 two and a half years ago. About a year after i was browsing autotrader and they were all £2000 then i looked about 4 months ago and comparible age / milage cars were back up between £3500 - £4500. I think milage, rev2 upwards, condition colour and area make big differences.

i.e. no one wants an ex red now scabby pink one, even if the rest of its fine.

Little brakes, high suspension, little wheels put people off rev1s as well.

well people do say 2's that are looked after can go round and round the clock, it is a toyota after all. Th key is the tlc it has had.

Same As Gtant, mine is '93 and has just under 66k, which seems to be pretty good going for a uk car. :D
