P0627 - Losing power

Hi all,

After owning pre 2001 Toyota's and swearing by them I decided to take the plunge to a 2004 Previa D4D. 

It seems from the forums that the RAV4s have similar issues to the Previa however unable to find an answer.

Car loses power at high revs, power cuts for a few seconds before power resumes. Very intermittent and seems like it only happens on a wet day.

Initially the code was open or short in suction control valve so replaced them. Now giving the code open or short in suction control valve circuit. 

Had an auto electrician check and found no issues with the wiring or the SCV's.

Cars had a full service, no smoke from the exhaust and when driving fine there's no indication of any issues.

I've not managed to find anything that would lead me to the actual fault.

If there's any information someone can provide I'll be really grateful as looking to get rid as a last resort.
