My daughters orevious Yaris has a trip computer which you could get information of MPG and average speed etc. The Rav we bought her now has the trip button but it only shows the average speed and nothing else. Her previous Yaris was a 2005 model too. Could it be faulty?

Petrol Yarises gave mpg on the trip. Diesel Yarises did not. Ours does not (2003)

I assume the RAV you have is similar to the Yaris.(in technology terms)

I understand later diesels may  (probably do) have mpg displays.

That’s strange not to have one on a Diesel engine Yaris. Yes the later ones do have it we bought a new 06 when they were launched and that did have the full trip computer.

My 2006 Corolla trip meter, built into the radio, can be set to either metric or imperial. Can't remember how, off the top of my head, but it's in the owner manual and iirc it's really easy.

The Yaris is similar it’s within the radio display. Not sure why but Toyota decided not to have one for the early diesel Yaris models. It only has the average speed not sure why they thought that is beneficial you would think the MPG would be a better option.
