Does anyone know if the US built  vehicles share the same  obd B & C codes as EU models?

If you're referring to the 2009 Yaris as per your profile, these weren't built in the US.

The only Yaris built in the US, is the current Yaris Sedan, which is based on the Mazda 2 and is built in Mexico by Mazda.

I have some obd2 softwear on my laptop that reads P codes but  but I can buy a update from its US manufacturer that enables B &C code reading but on U S built Toyotas .What I don't know is are the code's the same as European ones for B&C codes.

Hi, I'm pretty sure most OBD code readers only read out 'P' codes, you'll need a specialist code reader for all the others.

Yes they indeed do as it seems there is no international standard for B & C codes.

The issue is that my computer based software TouchScan offers down load plugins for my software at 75 usd per manufacturer. The issue is, does the information that is delivered by the software to go with the fault code for US vehicles differ to European Toyotas. TouchScan are in the US and only guarantee American Toyota code reading. I have spoken with them and they are not sure about Europe.

Mind you, I have never been at all sure about Europe in general either. lol

Talking to customer care at Toyota UK is like asking my dog the question.
