Hi all,

Just a heads up that there seems to be a new recall for my mk2 auris published today. Worth checking if you are affected too.
Not sure what this is - will call dealer tomorrow. Unless anyone knows already?

Outstanding recall found

There's an outstanding manufacturer's safety recall on TOYOTA AURIS CV15***. The vehicle has been recalled since at least 23 January 2019.

Contact a TOYOTA dealership to arrange for repairs.

To check whether your vehicle is subject to any outstanding recall or voluntary customer service campaign, use the Toyota Recall Checker on their main website - www.toyota.co.uk

Just called Toyota today, apparently it is the fuel suction plate that needs to be replaced. They informed me they need my car in for the day.

Having searched the internet, I note they made the same recall in Australia in June 2016.  I wonder why it took them this long to do the same for the UK?

Some members have stated previously that they smell fuel - this may be a reason why.

The DVSA recall system is based on issues being identified by owners and manufacturers and then reported. Depending on the number of reports received for the same issue, DVSA will investigate with the manufacturer.

The issue in question has probably only recently identified in the UK/Europe.

Australian Auris will be Japanese built.
