My front n/s electric window has stopped working after trying to open it when it was frozen, is it likely to be the fuse or could the motor have burnt out?

Hi John, welcome to TOC 🙂

Haven't got a Yaris but if it is like an Auris/Avensis etc. does it have a button to disable the passenger window switches? That catches out lots of people ...

When I had a VW, I did this same thing, so I’m guessing the window is shut ?

First turn the on.

Then, hold the button in the close position for 10 seconds and then hold in the open position for 10 seconds, let go of the button, then try to open it. It might not work straight away so repeat until it does.

As I said this fix was for a VW so it might not work.

Hi, I don't think it's a motor burnt out as it wasn't actually turning. Most likely it's the fuse blown (it's there to protect the system)
