Just to let people know I had my high pressure pump changed yesterday at a price of £1480.00

including vat and fitting is this about right

Yes but I could not get it into my local Toyota dealer for 2 weeks so as it was leaking fuel badly I had to go to an independent dealer.

Good to know as I have the 1.2t engine in my auris too. Will you be able to get the cost refunded from Toyota perhaps? Hope you can it's a lot of money.

Don't think so as the work has to be carried out by a Toyota dealer to claim on guarantee.

I'd have been inclined to hire a car for the two weeks, and get the warranty repair done by the Toyota dealer.
