Multi mode box broken

Hi guys. I’m in a dilemma here. Bought a Yaris 06 1.3 petrol with the mmt box but it broke. The mechanic said that it would need a clutch(can’t even find one on eBay) for a 100 and fitting for 150. This isn’t too bad but he can’t reset the box. Phoned Toyota and they want 250 to just relearn the box. All and all it will cost me 500 which isn’t worth it. Anywhere where I can maybe buy the box? Are the 1l and 1.3 boxes the same? Any help appreciated. Thanks

Places like Motorhog, car-transplants etc will definitely be able to help you with an mmt gearbox. Give them a ring with your reg number

When you say "box" do you mean the complete gearbox ? As that would not include a Clutch 

No the 1.0 and 1.3 are not the same.

Any work on on a Multimode gearbox or clutch needs the correct diagnostic equipment as the MMT control unit has to be "told" what is being done e.g replacing clutch and then it has to be calibrated afterwards.
