How does Touch 2 handle 2 connected phones?

Both my wife and I have registered our phones with the bluetooth system on our Auris Hybrid Excel (2016 model). When we're both travelling together, do we have any control over which one of our two phones the car connects to? For example, can we specify a preferred phone if both are in range?

Believe one may have up to four devices connected at the same time.

Not sure what happens if you get a call on both at the same time, they both certainly show as being connected. I’ve only ever received on one, that works well. It receives text well and will read them out to you.

Excellent. Is it possible to switch a call to handset mode if it's for the passenger rather than the driver?

I just tried this and it doesn't seem to allow 2 phones to be connected simultaneously. When I try to connect the 2nd phone manually it prompts me to disconnect the other phone first :0(
