Intermittent grinding gurgling noise in brakes

RAV4 2016 intermittent grinding and gurgling noise in right front wheel area when applying brakes.  Took to dealer service and had it checked. No issue with brakes or rotors and was told it was fine.  They test drove and could not replicate issue.  That was a week ago.  Brakes are not soft when engaged but begin grinding and then a gurgling sound with a smell. No visible leaking.  Afraid to drive. Help
