Cup holder-storage solution.

Recommended Posts

Cupholder/storage solution.

I've always struggled with the fact there's only one cup holder and limited storage cubbie holes in the centre console area of the IQ.  The door pockets are great but the storage under 12 volt socket means things sometimes slide and fall out.

I follow a guy on twitter in the U.S. @iq_scion who has come up with a cheap way of getting 3 cup holders out of one and also some extra storage for oddments. Please see pics below of triple cup holder on eBay. Cost me £6.99 and now means you can have up to 3 drinks stored or use the extra holes for small storage.  It's made of strong rubber/foam material and fits in original cup holder. It will also deform and return to original shape when you slide passenger seat forward if you leave it in situ. Alternatively just remove it when sliding passenger seat.

I'm very pleased with it. 😀

Great idea! Does it fit tightly in the original cup holder?

  • 221 Hybrid Reliability

    1. 1. If you were to consider buying a Hybrid model over 5 years old, would you be worried about the reliability of the Hybrid system?

      • Not really as Hybrid systems are always reliable
      • Not if it had a Manufacturers Warranty on the Hybrid system
      • I would not buy a Hybrid model over 5 years old
