Has anyone else bought there new car by credit card.

I decided to get a virgin atlantic card and purchased the car using that

I ended up with 27000 air miles plus a free companion seat as I spent over £20k in the first 12 months.

Transfered the money from the bank back to the card after a couple of days so no interest charges

Worth considering if the dealer will let you do it

Not the whole car but the deposit as that  is enough to then bring the car under section 75 protection.

Plus the dealer wanted a higher price if I paid for the car by credit card v a bank debit (basically it cost them more in charges which they would pass on to me).

According to Martin Lewis the item has to be over £100, but as long as there's at least £1 of it on a credit card then it still qualifies for that protection.
