Gear box problem (semi-automatic).....

Hi my name is ray.....

ive just bought a Toyota Corolla verso, after a week on the road the gear box made a CLUNK noise and then went straight into neutral this happened 3 more times so had to call out breakdown, I contacted the trader I bought it from who kindly had everything checked out a diagnosis machine, it was then taken out on a long test drive with no re-occurring problem, after having it back for 4 days the same problem is back can anyone give me a clue as to what the problem is please many thanks RAY........

Insist that the dealer fixes the car, or reject it and get your money back, and have a clear head.

Whoever sold the car probably sold it because of that issue.

 

just FYI, these transmission often have issues with clutch actuator, i'd personally go for the manual.

The transmission would be Toyota's Multi Mode Transmission - a manual gearbox with automated clutch.

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 if a fault appears within the first six months, it is presumed to have been there at the time of sale - see
