2011 Verso 1.6 Petrol Engine Oil Filter Housing

I am having issues with replacing the oil filter. The plastic housing / cover / cap is prone to be very tight to the point of possible damage

I have the right tool to fit the filter housing (same as my 2008 Avensis) and a torque wrench set to 20 Nm for when refitting.

Even so, and after allowing it to cool down, the housing can still be b******  tight when attempting to undo.

In the USA there is the option of buying a non genuine aluminium housing.

In the UK, just a replacement plastic housing is available from main dealer.

ADL BluePrint do replacement plastic housings for many of these housings used by Toyota, etc. for the last few years.

My problem is  identifying the right one from the part numbers / codes with respect to my car / engine.

Has anyone else been here, done that and fixed it the problem at a sensible price?

thanks
