Just remembered. ....we bought a 2009 aygo for £1k. It's recently had a timing chain kit fitted, full exhaust and alternator.  Comes with a thick wallet of history.

Only down side is its noisy at start up until warm which I really don't remember at the test drive.

Previous owner sprayed the bumper and bonnet wrong shade of red so I'll be on the lookout for the correct colour parts.
