Hi All,

Just joined so if this has been covered before, sorry!

Any advice where to purchase new front struts? Have a clunk going over bumps and cannot find any other loose parts so after lots of reading appears to be the struct that needs replacing.

Thanks in advance

Chris

Il s'agit de la fixation d'amortisseur. Un grand classique sur cette voiture. Pas grave, mais la fixation est peu difficile à atteindre.

So, in English, something like this:- "This is the damper mount. A classic on this car. Not serious, but fixing is not difficult to achieve."

An update on the struts. Could not find any after market ones so bit the bullet and ordered new ones from Toyota £67.41 each so quite reasonable. Ordered the drop links from Car parts 4 less at £14.50 each.

After working out how to remove the windscreen panel and metal one below, doddle just time consuming, the struts were easy to remove and replace. Took 2 hours per side. Did buy the top mounts as thought they would have the bearings in but did not require these as they just have a plain plastic material which acts as the bearing. The springs came off the strut easily and went back on with no difficulty. Handy to have an assistant to put the nuts on the top mount when you offer it up through the top plate. All in all a n easy job.

Wow what a difference no clunking drives just like a new car. Well worth the effort.
