57 plate rear wiper arm nut cover

Recommended Posts

I ordered a rear nut cover for the rear wiper arm for our 57 plate yaris.

It is a genuine Toyota part.

When I have come to fit it it is just a tiny bit to long. It clips in ok but as you can see not at the end.

I emailed the dealer and he checked it against our reg number and it is the right part number.

He said that it may be possible that the wiper are was changed in the past?

Does anyone know if the nut cover for a 2005 to 2011 is a tiny bit shorter and the same type of fitting where it clips into the lugs.

The original came off the other day when my wife took it through the car wash but she could not see it anywhere.

Thanks for any replies.

HI

There are 2 different types, one for the Jap built Yaris and another for the French build. You appear to have the wrong type  .

Cap Rear wiper arm:

Part number for the Jap Yaris (1.0ltr): 85292-28030

Part number for the French Yaris: 85292-0D020

Hope that helps.

Your way is much easier than my way, I ordered the arm and the cap did not fit. I needed a impact wrench to get the nut off, then I used a wiper pulley....so you can install a cheap jap rear arm onto a French yaris though it is a bit nosy.

    1. 1. If you were to consider buying a Hybrid model over 5 years old, would you be worried about the reliability of the Hybrid system?

      • Not really as Hybrid systems are always reliable
      • Not if it had a Manufacturers Warranty on the Hybrid system
      • I would not buy a Hybrid model over 5 years old
