Mirroring phone

Hi everyone I recently brought an Aygo 17 plate and for the first 2 week was very happy with it, however when I got around to the media system and trying to mirror cast my phone it wouldn't work, tried other phones and had the same result, now according to Toyota its due to a firmware upgrade which they will not do. So are there any of you that have had the same problems and know of a fix

What phone?

If iPhone then you need "appincar" app which in turn needs apps compatible with appincar ( there aren't many ) an iPhone specific lead and Toyota have not tested beyond old model iPhone 4s.

Android isn't much better you need mirrorlink compatible apps ( most such as Nav are chargeable ) and if your phone isn't on this list there is no guarantee it will work:

Mirrorlink is effectively dead as Apple stopped support when it launched Carplay and Google the same when they launched Android auto Toyota stopped testing new phones and have now switched to Carplay/Android auto with an all new headunit in new Aygo
