Rav 4 Excel New Screen

Recommended Posts

hi just an update on my new rav 4 awd excel . As I said in an early post it worked then it didn’t. It went in for a new  multimedia screen it arrived after 12 days and fitted at the dealership they tested it only to find it was the reversing camera , new camera fitted .  So it’s now sorted and working 😀 the photo is how it was before

You would have thought they would have tried a camera swap first

yes , I believe it’s the first time they have ever had a problem camera

If the screen is ok on everything else and it’s only the view in reverse that’s a problem, I would have thought they would have replaced the camera first.

Some analytical troubleshooting techniques (ATS) training would be useful to the mechanics/engineers. If the diagnostics don’t have an answer then ATS is useful.

thank you for your response , the screen was playing up big time but only when reverse was selected it would go fussy or black, if I stared to reverse the first time car was switched  on reverse was selected it was ok for 20/30 seconds, put car into drive then go and put it into reveres screen playing up , to cure it I had to select park switch ignition off start car select reverse it would then be ok to reverse for 20/30 seconds . I believe the technician has to follow Toyota on which path to take , once I collected the car and had  the review reverse camera  fitted they then got error codes displayed 😳
