Rear drum brake replacement

Hi!

I need to change my rear drum brakes soon, and was wondering if anybody had changed their drum brakes before on the XP130 gen cars, and could guide me to the correct parts

I tried comparing OEM-numbers, but this particular set doesn't have one, but should fit on mine (KSP130), has anyone tried this kit before

Link; Bosch Brake Kit

Thanks

Hafnia Hi.

As you only need to change the brake shoes, I wouldn't bother with the Bosch kit.. You should be able to get a set of shoes from your local Motor Factors, or even e-bay. They'll be a lot cheaper. Not sure of your location but you could (if in EU) try Euro Parts.

Hi, thanks for the reply.

Could you send a specific link to Euro Parts, since there seems to be many variations of companies using this name. Thanks,

(Edit: I am in EU, Denmark to be specific).

You do not need new pistons, this will involve changing brake fluid. All you need is the brake shoes. Old hold on springs should come off and on quite easily though new springs may be more difficult. Also check for rust on hold on pin, but it should be fine as your car is not that old.

Also try Amazon as you get reviews and oem numbers which can be cross referenced.

Hafnia Hi,

try www.eurocarparts.com  put in your car details etc. I just checked, a set of rear brake shoes around Euro 50. Alternative, try e-bay for around Euro 20

Thanks for the link, in my own stupidity I forgot to double check and Bought the wrong ones, that’s 8£ wasted, oh well.

You’re welcome, but I haven’t used it, nor have I properly checked if it fits the XP130 since they don’t give an OEM number.
