Looking at photos of a head unit from a 2009 car, that has the Aux functionality, the connections at the rear look very similar, aerial connection aside.

Has anyone tried to swap from a later car to an earlier one??

would like to keep the genuine look if possible..

could also go the fm/Bluetooth route.. anyone tried this?

thanks

My 06 Corolla has the standard model W58814, and one of the two Connects2 units did the job easily for cable 3.5mm connection. The only difference between the two types is one plug to go into the back, so you need to check re that. I went to a Bradford store that does such things, very helpful..

If the bluetooth idea is attractive,  I believe they also do a (more expensive,  natch!) version with such connectivity.

Hi

would prefer to simply swap my head unit with no AUX input, to the next level up unit that looks identical, but has the AUX input option that I can connect a AUX lead into..,
