Battery discharge

i'm a low mileage driver (5k miles since January) and twice the car has not started due to a low Battery. First time dealer took it in over a weekend and said Battery is fine. Second time the AA man suggested that our wireless doorbell could wake up the car causing a Battery drain until it shuts down again. Can't believe he was serious.....

His suggestion is to use a solar charger plugged into the OBD socket to keep the battery topped up.

Anyone else have the same issue?

Kevin

Thanks for the tip. I just bought one of those chargers a couple of hours ago.

There have been instances of wireless routers, wireless doorbells, emergency/armed forces communications equipment, National Grid communications, etc, etc interfering with remote locking signals and similar.
