Aygo passenger wing mirror

Hi all My first generation (it’s from 2006) Aygo passenger side wingmirror has become detached from the mounting at the hinge and is just hanging on by two metal curly wires. All the videos online seem to be about how to replace the whole attachment and not just how to reaffix the mirror. Can anyone help, in particular would like to know whether the two are permanently attached via something other than the wires and maybe I have to buy the whole thing.
