I have a tubby and just wondered what sort of revs people hold them at when racing off the lights with out any chance of doing damage to the engine

It won't kill the engine, but your clutch may smell a little!

To be honest, best to practise a few times with different revs - say start at 3500 and go up in lumps of 500 until you feel you have reached a compromise of grip and clutch.

I've been thinking about this a lot lately, and there are loads of (confusing) options.

Basically dependent of budget you can do anything, but for about £100 you can get the car to run 15psi (over the stock 9) using a G-valve and FCD.

So in answer to your question, 15psi max on stock cooling, 17 if you have water injection or intercooler/charge cooler mods.

i thought that they only ran 7 psi standard that sounds like a good option to me i think i would just turn it up to bout 12-13 for safety is fitting costly

If you have a decent boost gauge and know a little about such things I would suggest doing it yourself - or finding a knowledgable person to help you or do it for you. Personally, I would probabyl take mine to an MR2 specialist to be sure.
