Hi, I'm sorry if this has been asked before but: can you guide me how to change mirror switch in auris '18?

I know it's holded by 4 clips, now switch is like in screenshot.

Is this something you can fix yourself (if clips aren't broken)?

Are you aware that the dashboard end panel is easily removed to allow better access to the back of the switch?

In this diagram the panel is shown as 55318C.  It is held by plastic clips, you can use your fingers on the edge closest to the driver, or a plastic spatula, or a screwdriver with some plastic tape over it.  It will be a little easier if the temperature is warmer.

Seeing that you car is 2018, isnt it covered by Toyota waranty?

Anyway, as Gerg said, you have a side panel access, you can see it when you open the door.

@furtula yeah it is covered by warranty. I was thinking that if it's not big deal i would rather do it myself, but after seeing that diagram i might just get it fixed under warranty 🙈

I still think that switch is placed stupidly. I might have hit it with my knee

eBay is a good place to look for detailed pics the trim should just unclip and the switch just clips back in

eg. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/TOYOTA-COROLLA-VERSO-YARIS-AURIS-GENUINE-WING-MIRROR-SWITCH-769746F-183574/253993589625?epid=2221866919&hash=item3b23329b79:g:KssAAOSwGD1b9fb2

open the pocket below it, it should just be held by 2 clips you should then be able to get your hand in there if needed

Edit. The whole trim inc switches and pocket just unclips

eg. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2016-TOYOTA-AURIS-Mirror-Switch-547/274051194891?fits=Model%3AAuris&hash=item3fceb9600b:g:qbwAAOSwbXpdo8sX

I agree with the placement, it's very stupid, and not practical at all. I tried to adjust it mid driving during night, but it was far from easy, as opposed to having it on the arm rest.
