How to protect alloy wheels against brake dust?

My old alloys are quite like sandpaper. Brake dust has burned into to clear coat finish. Now I get new ones, so what product can I use to prevent it from happening again? Some professionel garages claims they can do a fully protection, so brake dust wont bite, and can be washed of using only water.

You can get spray products such as Armor All Shield Brake Dust Repellant.

For anybody reading this: applying any car wax/sealant/coating to already clean wheels especially when new will preserve the finish and make cleaning much easier without the need of specialised wheel cleaners, just use ordinary car shampoo when cleaning. The trick is not to let brake dust sit for too long on the wheel's surface. You can also use dedicated wheel waxes such as Rim Wax etc. these can cope with the high temperatures and therefore last longer before needing to re-apply.
