Hello.

I'm looking at getting an Avensis, probably 2009 or 2010, either 125bhp 2.0 or the 148 2.2. Which is the more reliable gearbox, the manual or the auto? I can't find much on the internet complaining about the auto but there's plenty about the manual.

What issues are you referring to with the manual? I can't say issues with either manual or auto boxes on the Avensis get mentioned very often on here.
