We're currently stuck in a town because of a storm. The only cars that can leave are cars with 4wd. I was wondering now what this button does. I have a have a Toyota estima 2000(rented car so i dont have manual).imageproxy.php?img=&key=567b4e06530f0081imageproxy.php?img=&key=567b4e06530f0081

When the switch is pushed in does a light flash on the dashboard indicating the car is in four wheel drive?  Is the Estima a v6 3L? Not a hundred per cent sure but I think the 3L v6 is a part time four wheel drive car, bear in mind your not going to get full off road capability like a Land Rover. It will only give you more traction on slippery surfaces.

As above...you will get drive to all four wheels..and it will help.....but a Landcruiser full-on 4x4  it ain't.
