Hi. I have a 2015 Aygo and I’ve noticed after some town driving the clutch will start to judder when taking off. It’s not violent but defo noticeable. Mileage is 24k and clutch has never been changed

Sounds like hotspots on the flywheel, so the flywheel is uneven, when warmed up it's more noticeable.

Even if it's not, they still need to take it out and check, your car is still in waranty, so take it back to Toyota and see if they will fix it for free.

Makes sense ^. I’ll have it booked in. What’s the chances of them replacing it for free, or will they try fob me off with wear n tear

Depends what the issue is. New car warranties only provide limited cover for clutches - commonly around six months. However, if another component has failed (eg an oil seal) and affected the clutch, it may be replaced under warranty.

If it turns out to me a wear n tear item. Can they try to charge me for any labour used to diagnose the fault?

Usually if a dealer charges for diagnosis if it turns out to be a non-warranty repair (which is becoming common nowadays), they advise before commencing the diagnosis. It may be worthwhile checking with them before any diagnosis commences.

Same with my old Peugeot 107 after sitting in rush hour traffic. I think its possible to install a larger clutch. I've since sold the car and bought the more recent Aygo.

Aygos, etc had the larger clutch from the Yaris from 2009.
